Industrial MSD Prevention

Industrial MSD Prevention – Employee Education

WorkSMART offers a 4-hour MSD Prevention course for employees. This session is designed to improve the comfort and efficiency of the workforce while reducing the development or aggravation of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) currently associated with job activities. As part of a shared responsibility to the prevention of injuries at the jobsite, the focus is on providing practical tools for implementation at the employee level. The course encourages active participation and group activities to keep the employees fully engaged as they learn about MSD hazards and control strategies.

Includes a copy of WorkSMART at the Jobsite: A Guide to Injury Prevention.

Industrial MSD Prevention – Supervisor Education and Training

Designed for Supervisors, Managers, and S&H Committee members, this workshop is designed to train participants in the application of a systematic MSD reduction process which includes how to:

  • Identify MSD hazards at the workplace
  • Assess the level of risk attached to the hazards using objective measures
  • Evaluate, select and implement cost-effective control strategies

Each participant receives a comprehensive manual and access to online tools.

Office MSD Prevention

Office Ergonomics

Our in-house ergonomics courses focus on improving the comfort and efficiency of the office environment while minimizing the risk for musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Emphasis is on optimizing current equipment, furnishings and accessories.

WorkSMART offers 2-hour basic and 4-hour customized workshops on office ergonomics for employees. Our training can also be combined with individual assessments at each workstation to fine tune their specific environment.

WorkSMART utilizes a proactive approach to educating employees on the basics of office ergonomics, giving them the tools they need to optimize their work and home office environments. Includes a copy of WorkSMART at the Office: A Guide to Injury Prevention.
